Well thanks for all replies. This is quite disappointing that I had to book en exchange server just to be able to see my schedule that I punched into Outlook for iPhone on my computer almost doubling the cost of the Office 365 subscription. And I think that this solution is quite oversized for a one person usage of a synced calendar feature.
However, if you have multiple calendars or profiles on your Outlook setup, then you should probably check up on Selected calendars to see if there are any calendars you don’t want to sync. Jul 2, 2017 - Sync Microsoft Outlook's calendar with your iPhone calendar to keep all your events on the same page.
Maybe MS should reconsider reestablishing this feature the way it was prior to the current version of Outlook. Small business will still consider to book an additional Exchange Server for other features such as connecting to other ones mailboxes and calendars. I stand by my query further down, and will add, that is just not logical.
What the OP wants to do, and what I also want to do, is view =Outlook= calendar items on different devices, the exact same way I can view emails from several accounts or text messages across Apple devices via Outlook. You keep saying the issue is 'data,' but whether it's a message or an appointment, they are =all= data, comprised of ones and zeroes. So, say I'm leaving my doctor's office and trying to schedule a follow up appointment: I ought to be able to view the Outlook calendar from my laptop that Is synced to the Outlook calendar on my iPhone - JUST LIKE EMAILS; check for open dates, then create a new appointment on my iPhone's version of Outlook that will appear on my laptop's version of Outlook once I get back home. Use the Outlook calendar on my iPhone. I know what you want to do and it makes sense very obviously.
I stand by my answer though. The only calendars that can sync with Outlook for Mac are Exchange calendars. It's not my fault We (the users) have ben asking for other syncing options for years (since the the early Entourage days at least) and MS has never provided any other way. It's not just Outlook.com that's left out, but also the more widely used CalDAV and CardDAV services (iCloud, Gmail and many other corporate solutions too).
The problem is not that the data is the same nature. It's that the communication protocol used to sync that data is not present in Outlook for Mac. And to be clear, it's not Outlook calendars that you want to sync, it's Outlook.com, aka Hotmail, aka MSN Hotmail, aka Windows Live (check it out on ): As strange as it sounds, this development of this service is not related to Outlook (the ). They just happen to be owned by the same company and had completely independent life up until MS made the very confusing choice to rebrand the email solution under the same Outlook umbrella). It doesn't make any sense to me either that MS never wanted to implement them, but that's the facts very unfortunately. (Now if you thought you could make a feature request here, you came to the wrong place.
This is mostly a peer-support group and the MS folks in charge of development hardly peek in these forums. If that's an important feature for you, I would strongly encourage you to use the Send a Smile button on the top right corner of the main window in Outlook to let MS know, and help them prioritize future development.) All of these services that Apple provides are cloud based and hence the name iCloud. What that means is that if you make a change on one of your devices, it will automatically reflect on all other devices as everything is in sync with iCloud. One of the useful tools that iCloud provides is a cloud based calendar that you can use to keep track of your schedule. If you've been using the Outlook calendar all this time, it's time that you switch to this cloud based calendar by iCloud.
